What’s a tiki bar without some nautical touches? Added some 1/2″ rope around the railing… This involved tying twine around the ends and adding some adhesive, then nailing the ends into the railing to keep secure.

I got to thinking about barnacles and saltwater, and while I think barnacles are certainly in the Spooky Pineapple’s future, for now I just stuck to salt. Had my friendly metal shop bend up some copper, then I oxidized it with ammonia and sea salt.

Added to the corners for a nice, rustic touch. OH, and I painted the stairs a nice deep ocean blue.
